The Groupe d'étude des protéines membranaires (GÉPROM), funded in 2001 out of the Groupe de recherche en transport membranaire already had a longstanding experience in the investigation of transport proteins and has gathered over the years all strong researchers in this domain of the Université de Montréal, McGill University, Concordia University and UQAM in one group in order to extend its field of activity.

Research fileds
  • The study of 3D structures of membrane proteins by crystallography, NMR, molecular dynamics and molecular modeling.
  • The study of protein-protein and protein-ligand interactions.
  • The study of membrane protein functions using electrophysiology, fluorescence spectroscopy, protein chemistry, cellular and molecular imaging.
  • The study of membrane protein functions in organs and animal models.
*The mission comes from the group's website.
