On April 30, Québec's chief scientist Rémi Quirion and Education minister François Blais (pictured above) invited all MNAs, chiefs of staff and deputy ministers to a science breakfast at the National Assembly. Some fifty people were on hand.

At the event, MNAs had the opportunity to speak with the chief scientist and three researchers on their most recent discoveries and the main issues surrounding the impacts of climate change in the Arctic with Louis Fortier, who holds the Canada Research Chair on the response of marine arctic ecosystems to climate change and is the scientific director of the ArcticNet network, entrepreneurship in Québec with Franck Barès, director of the department of entrepreneurship and innovation at HEC Montréal, and personalized health care for breast cancer patients with Jacques Simard, who holds the Canada Research Chair in oncogenetics and is the associate director of clinical research at the CHU de Québec Research Centre – Université Laval.

A video of the event is available online on the websites of the Fonds and broadcast on television on Canal Savoir.
