I would first like to welcome the renewal of the mandate of Québec's Chief Scientist, which was recently announced by Cabinet. At the Fonds de recherche du Québec, we are very pleased.
I would also like to mark the retirements of Sylvie Lachapelle and Lyse Cerino, programs officers and true pillars of the FRQS, and thank the team for ensuring a seamless internal reorganization.
In early June, the Chief Scientist and I took part in the BIO International Convention in San Francisco with a delegation from Québec led by Minister Anglade. The events proved to be very enlightening and helped us identify new short- and medium-term partnership opportunities.
In the weeks to come, we will have the pleasure of announcing the launch of the new Theme Networks program and will follow the progress of its implementation very closely.
It is therefore on a positive note that I would like to wish you a summer of peace of mind, calm and renewal after a very full and productive academic year!
