The Oncopole is the result of a public-private partnership between Merck Canada Inc. and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) launched in February 2017, aimed at federating the efforts being made in the fight against cancer. The Oncopole was created by an investment of $15M from Merck. Its mission is to act as a catalyst by mobilizing the best research centres around a common vision, focusing on projects prioritized according to patients' needs.
