The specific objective of this call is to promote clinical and pre-clinical proof of concept studies for the potential application of medicinal products that are either already marketed or having achieved a significant stage in the development process in rare indications.

Only transnational projects will be funded. Each consortium submitting a proposal must involve a minimum of three and a maximum of six distinct research groups from at least three different countries participating in the call. Research groups (maximum 2) from other countries may be associated with proposals if these groups are able to secure their own funding.

Each agency will fund their national teams and partners will have to ensure compliance with eligibility rules of their respective agency. Thus, the FRQS will fund Quebec teams only. Project evaluation will be done in an integrated manner with other countries.
